Mike Turfus Vehicle LeasingPlease find below some of our most frequently asked questions regarding vehicle leasing. We also suggest you read our online articles and tips that cover everything you need to know about leasing a vehicle.

What is the difference between owning a vehicle compared to leasing?
Leasing is a cost-effective way to enjoy a late model vehicle without the responsibility of ownership. As there is normally no initial outlay plus payments are usually lower than loan repayments, makes leasing an attractive option, and because you never actually own the car, you can easily upgrade to a newer model at the end of your lease term, or simply walk away.

Can you help me find a suitable vehicle to lease?
Yes we can! We have our own car sales yard featuring many makes and models, including new and used vehicles. You can choose any vehicle from our yard, and if we don't have the vehicle you want, we will source it for you!

Why do companies prefer to lease?
No matter how big or small the company, leasing a vehicle provides business benefits such as operating vehicles without the risk, responsibility and costs associated with owning a car.

I don't own a company; will you still lease a vehicle to me?
Yes. We lease new and used cars to anyone. In fact, many people are seeing the benefits of leasing a vehicle compared to owning a vehicle, especially if the vehicle purchased is used with borrowed money and high interest repayments.

Mike Turfus Vehicle LeasingOur family is looking at obtaining finance to purchase a new vehicle. Would leasing a car be of benefit to us?
Yes! If you lease a vehicle you will not have to worry about the costs of maintenance, high interest/repayment rates from finance companies and depreciation when it comes to selling the vehicle. When you lease a vehicle you can choose a lease that includes full vehicle maintenance and you have the benefit of upgrading to a new car every 2 - 3 years with minimal outlay!

What vehicles can I lease?
Unlike some lease companies that only allow you to lease a brand new vehicle that is a certain make or model (such as Holden or Ford), you can lease any type of vehicle you want! You can choose a new or used vehicle straight off our sales yard, with many makes and models. If we don't have the vehicle you want, we will source it for you and provide a leasing quote.

What types of leases do you offer?
Mike Turfus Vehicle Leasing offers Finance Leases which are suited to business and private customers. Our Finance Lease is ideal for small business owners or private customers.

How long do I have to lease the vehicle for?
We have a range of lease terms available ranging from 46 to 48 month terms for a Finance Lease.

Am I restricted with limited kilometres?
When you Request a Lease Quote you can specify how many km distance you would like factored into the term of your lease.

Mike Turfus Vehicle LeasingCan I lease a used vehicle?
Yes you can, however there may be limits on the term of the lease and/or the total mileage.

Where is your car sales yard located?
We are located in Dunedin, however we can arrange your lease vehicle anywhere in New Zealand.

Who is responsible for car insurance?
You are responsible for keeping the vehicle fully insured throughout the term of your lease.

What happens if I have excess kilometres?
If you find you are driving more kilometres than you originally planned we suggest you contact us immediately to recalculate your lease payment terms. Alternatively, at the end of the lease plan you pay a lump sum for the excess kilometres travelled.
